Saturday, 28th February 2009 was the first FREE Driver Assessment Day at Sainsbury’s in Nantwich.
During the day, 20 free assessed drivers were conducted. This resulted in 5 people signing up on the day for the Skill for Life package, with several more expected to follow in the coming weeks.
Over a dozen committee members / observers turned up to help. This support included conducting the assessed drives, manning our stand and providing coffee!
The group was lucky enough to be joined by Edward Timpson MP, who had an assessed drive. Edward has since agreed to sign up for a Drive Check. Edward expressed an interest in road safety and offered his support at another group event in the coming months.
Thanks must go to Ian for organising the event, along with the observers, committee members and staff at Sainsbury’s on the day
